Louis E. Miccuci Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was given in memory of Louis E. Miccuci (1916-1993) who directed the GHS music programs from 1952- 1968.  The fund was proposed and seeded by two of his former students, Brenda Sheltry Dowst and Nancy Knights Merrow- Class of ’62.  Under his tenure hundreds of GHS students participated in band and/ or chorus, including 78% of the Class of 1953! Many still enjoy the memories and music skills learned during Mr. Miccuci’s time at GHS when our music programs flourished.  This scholarship will be given to a student continuing their education with a preference given to any student pursuing a music or arts-related degree.
